The Wimauma Community Church of God is a family-oriented, multicultural, Pentecostal church located in the heart of the Wimauma Village area. While WCCOG has a long and rich history within the community, it strives to be relevant to today’s issues as it reaches out into the heart of the community. Located near the southern perimeter of Hillsborough County, WCCOG continues its growth by being a loving community of believers that is authentic in faith with compassion for those who are hurting and in need.

While some churches focus mainly on certain groups and with one primary musical genre, the WCCOG has heart felt worship based on blended music that ranges from hymns to contemporary style songs. This gives all worshippers the ability to have connection in the worship services no matter what the persons age or background.

WCCOG believes in spirit-filled preaching and teaching with emphasis on being followers of Christ. Pastor Tom Durrance believes that the way to grow people is by fulfilling the Great Commission instructions of Jesus Christ and by, “making followers of all men.”  It is within this vein of thought that the vision statement of the WCCOG is simply, “Connecting Our Community to Christ.”
